What Is A Hidden Plan?

A hidden plan is a sales incentive plan which is hidden from limited admins. It's only useful to have hidden plans if a/ some of your administrators are limited admins, and b/ you do not want those limited admins to see certain plans. In most configuration, you do NOT need to use hidden plans.

Users with the limited admin role have read-only access to all entities in the workspace by default - including plans. However, you can hide plans (and their related calculationscredits, and rewards) from them. You can then choose which limited admins have permissions to view and manage each hidden plan.

For example, you could grant the limited admin role to all Sales Directors. Sales Directors will then be able to login to your management workspace, and view usersteams, etc. However, they will NOT be able to make workspace configuration changes (such as adding users or transactions). And they will NOT be able to view or manage hidden plans - unless they were granted explicit permission to do so.

Once granted explicit permissions on specific hidden plans, Sales Directors will be able to see them, make changes, submit calculations, review credits, release rewards, etc. This in effect allows you to ensure Sales Directors cannot see plans they aren't supposed to, but delegate management of specific plans to them.

Creating Plans
When creating new plans, you could make them hidden until you've made a decision regarding visibility and management. If someone else need to make a change, you can always add them to the list of authorized plan admins.
