How Can I Handle Users / Teams Who Were Credited No Transactions?


When designing a sales incentive plan, you must specify plan targets - for example:
  • Users with tag "Business Development Managers"
  • Members of team "Northwest"
  • Teams having tag "Territory"
  • Team "Northwest"
  • Etc.

In some cases, some of those target users or teams may have no transactions credited to them. Even though you defined a baseline attainment level, there is "no value" for those users / teams. As a result, these target users / teams on't appear in any of your sales performance reports, because your attainment schedule cannot be applied to "no value" results.

However, you can specify how to handle users / teams with no transactions credited to them. You can specify a "replacement value" (in lieu of the "no value" result), allowing your attainment schedule to be applied.

For example, if you use total revenue for your plan, you could set the replacement value to be 0. As a result, any user or team with no transactions credited to them will be evaluated as having "a value of 0" instead of "no value" (and your baseline attainment level can be evaluated).

Or for example, if you use profit rank for your plan, you could set the replacement value to be 999. As a result, any user or team with no transactions credited to them will be evaluated as having "a rank of 999" instead of "no rank" (and your baseline attainment level can be evaluated).

Here are the steps to configure a replacement value:
  • Login to your workspace
  • On the left pane, click on "Plans > All Plans"
  • Search for the plan
  • Click on the plan row
  • Click on the "Calculations" tab
  • Configure the "When No Transactions Credited" dropdown
    • Select "Default To Value Below (Apply Incentives)"
    • Enter your default value
  • Click on "Save"
