How Can I Fully Automate Running Calculations

This article is for administrators who want to fully automate calculations across all plans. Note: we also have a different mode allowing you to re-run specific calculations only - click here to learn more. 

You can configure automated start and re-run of calculations by doing the following:

• On the left navigation bar, select Settings > Advanced 
• Enable "Auto-Start & Re-Run Calculations"
  

Just make sure your plans are set to Active and have the right frequency (ex: monthly, quarterly, etc.). The system will automatically start calculations based on each plan's frequency, and also re-run them daily until you release rewards. You can exempt some plans from automated runs via advanced options.

For example, let's say you have a monthly plan. We will:

• Automatically start new calculations based on the current date
  • Ex: on February 1st, we will start a new February calculation
• Automatically re-run all calculations daily until
  • You've manually released rewards OR
  • The current date is 7 days past the period's start OR
  • You selected auto-release of rewards AND the current date is after the period's end

You can also choose to auto-release credits / rewards, allowing your reps to view daily progress on their incentive dashboard. All calculations which are automatically started will appear as started by "Sales Cookie".

Note: this option makes sense if you've added a connection to an Accounting, CRM, or Financial system because Sales Cookie receives new and modified sales transactions every hour. It allows you to re-calculate daily based on new facts.
