Error - Unable To Perform A Realistic Calculation Simulation Due To An Insufficient Time Span

Applicability
This error applies to the following situation:
  • You are running a calculation using simulation
  • You have either few transactions, or they are very "condensed" in time

Impact
This error prevents you from completing a simulation.

Explanations
Suppose that you have selected 100 as the number of most recent transactions to draw from at random. If the time span for these recent transactions is less than 24 hours, we cannot determine the pace of transactions, because the time interval is too short. As a result, we cannot determine how many transactions should be added for a realistic simulation.

Resolution
To fix this issue, you could either:
  • Increase the count of transactions to draw from (if the error includes "Increase the number of transactions allowed to participate in the simulation")
  • Import additional sample past transactions to draw from (if the error does not include "Increase the number of transactions allowed to participate in the simulation")
  • Re-run your calculation without simulation
