Why Are Transaction Dates Important When Importing Transaction Data?


Let's say you upload a CSV file with records like this:



As you can see, there is no date column. So, if you wanted to calculate January commissions, we would not know if those sales would apply since there is no effective date column we can use.

In this case, you can either:
  • Add a date column and re-import               OR
  • Specify an effective date which will be applied to all imported sales  

If you do not have a data within your data, Sales Cookie will offer you to provide an effective date which will then be applied to all imported transactions.
