Why Enable Revenue Analytics?
Revenue Analytics provide a unique understanding of your organization's revenue and sales performance. Revenue Analytics help identify your best and worst customers.
Using Revenue Analytics, you can identify top accounts, customers at risk of leaving, key sources of refunds, most loyal customers, churn metrics, and much more.
In some cases, you may want all users (including all reps) to have full visibility on the health of your business, research & profile any customer, view transaction details, etc.
However, you may also consider that the information provided by Revenue Analytics is somehow confidential, and should be limited to specific roles only (ex VP of Sales).
Default Permissions
By default, Revenue Analytic permissions are configured as follows:
- Production workspaces - only Sales Cookie admins can access Revenue Analytics (ex: reps do not have access)
- Demo workspaces - all active users can access Revenue Analytics (ex: any active rep has access even if not admin)
To enable non-admin users to access Revenue Analytics:
- Navigate to Settings > Dashboards
- Click on the "Analytics" tab
- Toggle permissions
- Save
At this time, information provided by Revenue Analytics is global to your workspace. For example, if you grant access to rep A, then this rep will be able to analyze revenue across all sales within your workspace (including those sales from rep B and C).
Please note - granting access to Revenue Analytics does NOT allow users to:
- Make changes - Revenue Analytics provide read-only access
- View other rep's commissions - Revenue Analytics never share payout information
Here is a sample configuration:
In the example above, the following apply:
- Only the CFO (plus Sales Cookie admins) can analyze company revenue
- All active users can analyze and profile customer revenue / audiences
- Only the CFO and Sales Managers (plus Sales Cookie admins) can view transaction details
Empty Tags
If you leave tags empty, then all users are granted the permission. Tags are used to restrict access to specific users only as explained above.
What Permissions Do?
Analyze Company Revenue
This permission provides a global view of your business - including overall revenue, churn statistics, customer acquisition metrics, and much more. Enable access for users who should be able to understand the overall health of your business.
Analyze Customers And Audiences
This permission provides the ability to profile customers - such as top customers, frequent buyers, churned accounts, most loyal customers, top sources of refunds, etc. Enable access for users who should be able to research and profile any customer.
View Transaction Details
This permission provides the ability to view al transactions and their details. Enable access for users who should be able to view the detail of any transaction within your organization. Do not enable if you have confidential fields within transaction data or restrict access to transactions in your CRM system.
