How Can I Credit Multiple Users For One Transaction (Ad-Hoc)?

You may want to issue commissions to multiple users over the same sales transaction. This may be necessary when multiple users contribute to a sale, or because you have a multi-level commission structure (ex: override commissions).

There are two ways you can achieve this:
  • Configure your plans to allow splits (learn more)
  • Make an ad-hoc change to allow splits (this article)

Obviously, the first option is more structured and makes sense if you have frequent splits. In this case, it's worth investing some time to configure your plan to handle splits.

However, there are cases where splits are uncommon and you just need a quick fix. This article however is about ad-hoc options to handle splits.

Specify Multiple Reps Within Transactions
If you only have one transaction field tracking reps, you can use the || separator within your sales data (or by editing the Sales Cookie transaction) to request multi-user crediting:

Next, edit your plan and choose the appropriate option based on how you want to handle the split ("Targets" tab):

Duplicating Transactions
You can duplicate a transaction within Sales Cookie and assign it to a different rep. Simply find your transaction, and use the "..." menu to duplicate it.

You can now edit the duplicated transaction and set a different rep. This new transaction will be credited separately from the original one upon re-calculation.
