About This Guide
This guide is designed to help you get started with Sales Cookie as a payee. For the admin starter guide, click here.
This guide does NOT cover the many advanced options or capabilities found within Sales Cookie. However, we will show you how you can access your sales commissions. Once you learn how Sales Cookie works, it will become second nature to you.
Using Sales Cookie, your sales commissions will become more clear and more transparent. All your commissions (current and past) will be available online, so you will no longer search for or download commission spreadsheets. And you'll be able to access your commissions any time, from any device without having to install one more app. You'll even be able to submit enquiries to your sales commission admin directly from the app.
Accessing Sales Cookie
To use Sales Cookie, you must first register:
- Browse to https://salescookie.com
- Click on "Login" in the top right corner
- Click on the "Sign Up" tab
- Register with the correct email address
- This should be the email address used by your admin to represent you
You may need to confirm your email and accept terms and conditions. This takes seconds, and it only needs to be done once.
Web Interface 101
The Sales Cookie user interface has two main components:
- The admin component - to manage incentive plans, run calculations, view reports, etc.
- The rep component - to view commission statements, review credits, review payouts, etc.
This guide focuses on the rep component (shown in black below). Don't worry, you will not see the admin component unless you're also an admin.
Also, whenever you are looking for information, remember to look for tabs. Sales Cookie is a tab-based application. Sometimes, you'll find that the data you were looking for is displayed in a different tab.
Here is what the application may look like on a small mobile device. The display will adapt to each device.
Click on "Account" on the left navigation bar to access your settings. You can also access your account by clicking on this icon in the top right corner.
Click on "Incentives" on the left navigation bar to access your incentive dashboard. The home page shows total payouts over time, across all incentive plans you are a beneficiary of. You can view total payouts by plan, by date, etc.
Next, click on "More Details" to access incentive plan details. You will now see something like this:
- Use the period dropdown to view past statements
- Don't miss the tabs at the top of the window
When calculating commissions, reps and territories / teams must be credited with specific sales. If your admin has enabled credits, you will be able to search, view, and download a list of sales credited to you (or to your territory / team). Your admin can customize the list of fields visible to you.
Click on the "Rewards" tab to see your payouts for this plan and period.
Terms & Conditions
Your admin may have enabled plan terms and conditions. You may be asked to review and accept them. Depending on configuration, you may be asked to check an acceptance checkbox or provide an e-signature. If terms and conditions change over time, you will have a full copy (just use the dropdown in the top right corner to select a period).
You can use Sales Cookie to submit commission-related requests to admins. Click on the "Enquiries" tab to submit or view requests. Your admin will be notified via email, and so will you as soon as your issue is resolved.
Your admin may customize your incentive dashboard to show:
